Just a quick question...
I will be travelling down with my other half (who uses a wheelchair to get around). How *easily* accesible is the area and local tube stations? (if anyone knows that is).
Would love to make it down, even if its for a few hours...
Travelling from Derby/Nottingham area just in case anyone has any good idea's (neither of us can drive to save our lives)

*edit to make more sense*
The bar itself is flat and level, all one one floor and has a wheelchair accessible bathroom. I know that Kings Cross underground station is wheelchair friendly, as well as the rest of Kings Cross, but as for the stations along the route, I honestly couldn't say.
Thanks for the info there Verone... Provisional "yes" for it, just need to get some medical stuff sorted out now (dont worry, nothing contagious), and it looks all go for us... even if its just for a few hours, at least we managed to get out and about

well im planning on coming, where is there to stay near by/ where is everyone else staying???
The two Travelodges nearby (Tower Bridge and Aldgate) would be your best bet, Tower Bridge being just across the road (literally) from the pub, the Aldgate one only a little further off.
Hal.
You can do a hell of a lot better by choosing a Travelodge outside the centre of London. E.g. Newbury T/lodge has rooms from ú19 - 5 mins walk from a station. Travelcard a damn site cheaper that the difference between hotel rates.
Just to point out something. I do believe that there is a tube strike that could well be happening on the same weekend... so take that into consideration for booking your hotel as well ;)

But who (if anyone) is going to be down in the area the friday night?

There'll be a healthy supply of Veto Corp members there on Friday evening, at the same Wetherspoons the meet will be at the next night.
We will be vanishing for a few hours though, as we have a corp dinner set up at a restaurant late in the evening.
This could get painful for my head, as we are likely to be getting into London for about 4pm...

Originally by: Laria Raven I am never drinking again. Ow.
Well not until the next meet.
I am going for that route this time around, as by then i hope my Blood/Alcohol ratio will somehow return to something remotely human, and not flammable when exposed to air.
